Dr. Manfred Ziesmann MD, FRCSC, Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Manfred Ziesmann is a Canadian Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, who has been practicing in Winnipeg since 1988. With a passion for helping people feel their absolute best and achieve the look they desire. He has more than 30 years of experience improving peoples’ lives. Dr. Ziesmann is an expert in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures and is committed to providing the highest quality of care and safety standards to all of his patients.

A graduate of the University of Manitoba Medical School, he was accepted and completed his Residency in the highly competitive Plastic Surgery program in 1986. This was followed by acceptance and completion of Fellowship training in Boston and Toronto, in MicroSurgery. During Fellowship, he has worked at Toronto General, St. Michaels, Mount Sinai Hospital, and SickKids Hospital. Having been offered a position upon Fellowship completion, in one of the most prestigious Plastic Surgery programs in Canada, Manfred chose to move back to his family in Winnipeg. Where he established a microsurgery program at Health Sciences Centre. He established new techniques for head and neck cancer reconstruction, lower extremity salvage and digital re-implantation. Dr. Ziesmann pioneered the conversion of many inpatient Plastic Surgery procedures to a Day Surgery model presently in common usage.
With his specialised training, Dr. Ziesmann has mentored and trained many other Plastic Surgeons who now work in Winnipeg, throughout Canada, United States and abroad. He is one of the original Founders of the Pan Am Surgery Centre and In 2004, Dr. Ziesmann opened his successful private practice in Downtown Winnipeg. In 2014 the clinic space was expanded to meet the increasing demand for an array of both surgical & non-surgical aesthetic services.
Dr. Ziesmann presently holds operating privileges with Clearpoint Health Network – Maples Surgical Centre, Health Sciences Centre, Children’s Hospital, Western Surgery Centre, Pam Am Surgery Centre and Concordia Hospital – All sites are multidisciplinary, modern surgical facilities. All facilities are accredited with The College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba.
