Mole removal is a simple procedure that is done under local anesthetic and typically takes well under an hour. Moles are typically not an immediate medical concern, but if your mole has changed in any way (colour, shape, size, etc.) there is a possibility that your mole represents an early stage of skin cancer and should be examined immediately by a physician.
Mole removal can be done with a laser or by incision. Healing from either process typically takes about ten days. For information on the procedure best for you or to have your moles examined, please contact our offices to schedule a consult with Dr. Ziesmann.
