  I trained at the University of Manitoba Medical School, graduating in 1980. Following this, I completed an Internship in Medicine and Surgery. I then spent five years in training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Manitoba, becoming certified in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1986. I spent three months at the end of my residency at the Shriner's Burn Hospital in Boston, followed by six months doing research with CO2 lasers at the University of Manitoba. I completed my training with one year at the University of Toronto as Fellow in Microsurgery.
I have been in practice in Manitoba since 1988, with an appointment at the University of Manitoba Medical School, currently as an Associate Professor. During that time I have been involved in teaching many of the Plastic Surgeons currently practicing in Winnipeg, including Drs. Lockwood, Turner, and Dolynchuk.
I have opened a private office in July 2004, in order to provide patients with a better class of service and a greater variety of procedures than was possible through the hospital. I have continued to upgrade my skills, becoming certified in the use of lasers such as the CO2 laser, and lasers for hair removal, vein treatment, and skin rejuvenation.
I am constantly on the lookout for new techniques, procedures and equipment that will allow me to provide the highest quality care possible to my patients. Rather than being the first to offer a treatment, that may turn out to be disappointing, I carefully evaluate to determine whether or not my patients might benefit.
