Are silicone implants safe? |

Silicone breast implants have been reviewed by many studies. There is no illness that is diagnosed as being due to silicone. The only country that currently refuses usage of silicone gel implants is the United States, unless the patient is part of a clinical trial. In Canada, these implants are available on a case by case basis, requiring written approval by Health Canada. We have been using these implants without incident for the past four years.
